Even though our Texas Convention for 2020 has been rescheduled to 2021, NARO-TEXAS is required by Article IV of its Bylaws to have an Annual Meeting. Directors need to be elected, and other business accomplished.

We realize some of you may be leery of traveling still, and we have an option this year of attending the Annual Meeting through our new webinar platform, WebinarJam.

For those willing to venture out, we are having an in person meeting at noon Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the JW Marriott in downtown Austin, with details below.

We have also negotiated a $169/night room rate at this hotel for those wanting to make a night or weekend of it in Austin. We plan to have a nice lunch, and an expanded Annual Meeting that will include a “Hot Topics” presentation as a sampler of what  will be covered at the National Convention in part, and would have been covered at our convention had it gone forward.

J.W. Marriott Austin
110 E. 2nd Street
Austin, TX 78701

Most likely the Brazos Room but check the event board upon arrival.

Book your guest room here:

The meeting and lunch are free, parking and guest rooms are your responsibility.

Below is the Agenda for the Annual Meeting. Note that if you attend by WebinarJam, our Bylaws do not allow for voting through this platform or by proxy, so only members who attend in person may vote

There is no cost for the webinar or the lunch, although members who attend in person would be responsible for their own parking and guest rooms if they stay.

We have reserved the Brazos Room for the meeting, which has a capacity of about 40 people with current distancing guidelines. To make sure we do not need a larger space and how many meals to order, we are asking all who attend in person to register in advance.

If you will be watching the Webinar, we also ask your to register for the Webinar and we will email you instructions on how to attend through WebinarJam in advance of the meeting, along the necessary website links.
