- Join or renew your membership
- Make a contribution to NARO
- Volunteer, mentor, speak, or share NARO education
NARO's work is powered by mineral owners, members, volunteers, businesses, sponsors, exhibitors, and partner organizations. Choose the way you want to strengthen education, advocacy, and the mineral owner community nationwide.
Support means something different to an owner, a current member, a business, and a partner organization. These three paths lead to the right next step without mixing membership, giving, and sponsorship.

Business membership provides year-round connection and defined benefits. Sponsorship supports a specific event or program. Some membership levels include specified advertising or sponsorship benefits.
Create an ongoing relationship with NARO's national and chapter network.
Support a specific national or chapter event while receiving the recognition and benefits included in that opportunity.
Recognition note: Business membership, sponsor, exhibitor, advertiser, or partner recognition does not imply NARO endorsement of any product, service, company, or professional. Sponsorship and advertising purchases are separate from member-discount and like-kind offers.
Some of NARO's most valuable support begins with an introduction, a useful lesson, or a few hours of service.
Help organize a meeting, welcome owners, support outreach, or contribute to a local program.
Present a webinar, contribute to ROAR, mentor an owner, or help explain a complex issue clearly.
Share trusted education, invite another owner, or connect NARO with a community that needs owner resources.
Co-host education, share research, introduce speakers, provide a venue, or support an approved initiative.
Some supporters choose to discuss a gift of mineral or royalty interests with the NARO Foundation. These gifts require individual review because ownership, title, production, valuation, administration, and tax circumstances vary.
Start with a conversation. NARO can explain its review process, and you can decide whether to continue with guidance from your own legal, tax, and financial advisers.
NARO Association support and NARO Foundation giving are separate. Membership dues, Association contributions, Foundation gifts, sponsorships, advertising, and event registrations can have different purposes, benefits, receipts, and tax treatment.
Each destination page identifies the payment path and any benefits provided. Please consult your tax adviser about your circumstances. Contact NARO before making a restricted, in-kind, securities, estate, or mineral-interest gift.
Membership creates an ongoing relationship with defined benefits. A contribution provides financial support without creating membership or commercial benefits unless the destination page specifically says otherwise.
Choose business membership for year-round connection and defined member benefits. Choose sponsorship or exhibiting for recognition and engagement tied to a specific convention, chapter program, or event. Many businesses choose both.
Potential partners can propose co-hosted education, research, speaker exchanges, outreach, grants, in-kind support, or other mission-aligned work. NARO reviews each opportunity for member value, fit, responsibilities, and transparency.
Some current forms and sponsorship packages include a chapter, event, or program choice. Contact NARO before adding a restriction so the organization can confirm that the requested use is available and can be administered as intended.
The Foundation may review a proposed gift of mineral or royalty interests. Every property is different, so acceptance follows an individual review of ownership, title, production, valuation, administration, and potential obligations.
Recognition depends on the support path, current program terms, and your preferences. Sponsorship and business recognition never implies NARO endorsement. NARO also respects requests for appropriate privacy when the selected program allows it.
Tell NARO whether you are a mineral owner, member, business, association, foundation, prospective volunteer, or potential donor. The national office will help route you to the right opportunity.
