The Only National Organization Representing Oil & Gas Royalty Owners Interest
May 17th - May 19th
Welcome to the 2023 Oklahoma NARO Convention!
Once again, this year’s event, “Looking Back, Driving Forward, is a tribute to two things distinctively American - The American Automobile and the Oil and Gas Industry!
Located on the West End of downtown, along Film Row, and occupying the historic Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant, the 21c Museum Hotel Oklahoma City is a AAA Four-Diamond rated boutique hotel, contemporary art museum, and cultural civic center all-in-one.
We kick things off Wednesday evening with a welcoming reception we are co-hosting with the Royalty Owner Coalition of Oklahoma. Representing approximately 150,000 individual members, the founding organizations of ROCO include the National Association of Royalty Owners of Oklahoma (OK-NARO), Oklahoma Farm Bureau (OKFB), American Farmers & Ranchers (AFR), Farmers Royalty Company (FRC) and the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association (OCA).
ROCO has been working with elected officials on legislation impacting mineral owners including royalty payment accuracy and transparency, drilling incentives and long-lateral development, force pooling reforms, surface damages, produced water disposal and recycling, and other issues.
Thursday, we have a full day of speakers including Secretary Dan Whitmarsh of the Commissioners of the Land Office, as well as presentations on Estate Planning, Adjusting Entries on your Royalty Check, Lease Clauses and the always popular Expert Legal Panel. We also have a breakout room featuring a recently produced film telling a very important story about how Oklahoma’s oil and gas industry played a crucial role in World War II.
Friday, we have presentations from two different professors featuring topics ranging from Geology to Renewable Energy, as well as an opportunity for members who are in the Mineral Management Program to earn an ethics credit. Lastly, we will close out the event with a keynote luncheon featuring Chairman Todd Hiett of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
The hotel offers several options for dining, as does the downtown area. The very popular Jones Assembly is located just south of the hotel and is hosting the Josh Abbott Band Thursday night. There will also be an optional group outing to a OKC Dodger game that same evening following the Exhibitor’s Happy Hour.
Complementary parking, award winning cuisine, live entertainment, and an excellent opportunity to educate yourself as an Oklahoma mineral owner while having lots of fun!
Thanks for supporting OK NARO!
