  • A special 3 hour course on the basics in managing your minerals. Normally this is covered in a fast paced 45 minute presentation. Now you have much more time to learn, ask questions and hear from experts in mineral management. This does not include registration for the convention or any other activities or events.

Introduction to Mineral Ownership


Introduction to Mineral Ownership is a 3 hour NARO Foundation course taught prior to the start of the convention.


If you are new to NARO, mineral ownership or want to sharpen up on the basics, this is a great place to start. 


In this course you can expect to learn about:

  1. Basic property law
  2. General order of events in mineral ownership (leasing, drilling, production, division orders, revenues)
  3. Basic explanation of oil and gas operations
  4. Types of ownership
  5. Decimal/NRI Calculations
  6. Data management


PLEASE NOTE: This registration does NOT include a convention registration. Introduction to Mineral Ownership  is a Pre-Convention Course.
